Range Information

The range consists of 6 firing points, all with a bench.

Each firing point has lighting and CCTV to enhance safety.

There is an a push button overhead target retrieval system so that members don’t have to go forward of the firing point.

The range safety certificate is certified by the National Rifle Association for th efollowing limits:

  • Maximum muzzle velocity 655 metres / second (2150 ft/second)
  • Maximum muzzle energy 2030 Joules (1496 ft-lbs)

In practical terms, this means the range is certified for .22 rimfire and center fire calibres such as .357/.38, .44 and .45.

High velocity/muzzle energy calibres such as .223, .303 or .308/7.62 are not currently supported but the club are investigating options for this for the future.

Facilities

The range is wheelchair access friendly and has unisex toilet facilities as well as a members room and small kitchen.
